Skin prices in the CaseHug inventory are fixed and do not change after you win a skin. When you win a skin from any case, its price is frozen at the moment of the win and remains the same for as long as the skin is in your inventory.
Why are prices frozen?
The CS2 skin market is very volatile. Prices can drop or rise significantly even within a single day. Price freezing was introduced primarily with you, the player, in mind. Thanks to this, the value of a won skin is certain and guaranteed from the moment you win it. You don’t have to rush to cash out or constantly monitor the market for fear of losing value.
What price freezing means in practice
A frozen price is the amount the system uses when selling a skin for in-game currency or when using the Upgrader and SkinChanger. This price will neither increase nor decrease, regardless of current market fluctuations.
Price freezing does not affect your ability to claim the skin in any way. Regardless of market changes, you can cash out your skin on Steam at any time.
ℹ️ After cashing out a skin on Steam, its market value may fluctuate in line with the current CS2 market. Price freezing applies only to skins stored in your CaseHug inventory.
